A new wave of businesses are reopening or soon will in South Florida as governments relax COVID-19 restrictions, including some casinos, museums, bowling alleys and arcades in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

On Wednesday, Broward County Administrator Bertha Henry issued a new emergency order that allowed casinos and racetracks to reopen Friday — three days earlier than what was originally announced. Casinos and racetracks, however, had to agree to close if a employee tested positive for novel coronavirus.
On June 4, Miami-Dade County announced that movie theaters, bowling alleys, amusement facilities, casinos and other “unique establishments” could submit plans for proposed reopening and some have been approved to open again.
There are, of course, myriad new safety rules that come with being able to back to recreation centers. This includes mandatory face coverings, temperature checks, social distancing and plenty of hand sanitizing stations.

MIAMI-DADE
Hialeah Park Racing and Casino is opening with new hours Friday. The park will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information call 305-885-8000.

The Miccosukee Tribe casinos opened its doors again in May and also implemented new sanitary and social distancing policies. All the casinos were hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. For more information call 1-877-242-6464.
Calder Casino in Miami Gardens, 21001 NW 27th Ave., announced it will be opening at 5 p.m. on Friday with a slew of safety measures. An intial phase will only have 600 games due to social distancing. For more information call 305-625-1311.
BROWARD
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and Seminole Classic Casino in Hollywood will open their doors at noon on Friday. Among the new rules, the casinos will only operate at 50 percent capacity. For information call 866-502-7529.
The Big Easy Casino at 831 N Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach announced be reopening at 10 a.m. Friday. Visit its website for more information.
The Casino at Dania Beach, 301 E Dania Beach Blvd., will reopen at noon on Friday. The casino said it will be installing a new thermal camera at its entrances to detect guests temperatures. For more information call 844-794-6244.
Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino at 301 Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach had already reopened its horse racing, but has now announced its casino will have a reopening date in the near future. For more information call 954-454-7000.
Museums

Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, 1101 Biscayne Blvd., will reopen for special members from Thursday to Sunday, and then reopen to the general public on Monday. For more information visit its website.
Pérez Art Museum Miami, 1103 Biscayne Blvd., has not yet announced when it will be reopening.
New Casino South Florida Gulf Coast
The Miami Children’s Museum has also not released a reopening date.
The Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, 401 SW Second Street, announced it will be open for member from June 16 to June 21, and then will open to the public on June 23. To find out more on the museum’s safety rules visit its website.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens at 3251 South Miami Ave., reopened to the public on June 4. It implemented new safety rules for its gardens and Main House, which can be found on its website.
Miccosukee Casino
The Gold Coast Railroad Museum, 12450 SW 152nd St., announced it reopened on June 1 but only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Deering Estate has not reopened its Historic House Museums, but is offering limited guided access of them, which started on June 1. These tours will be offered daily at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm. For more information visits the estate’s website.
Arcades, Bowling Alleys
Bowlero at 11401 NW 12th St. in Miami will be reopening on Thursday. The bowling alley said it will be operating on a modified schedule. Other South Florida AMF and Bowlero bowling alleys have not yet announced reopening dates.
Bird Bowl, 9275 SW 40th St., has not announced when it will be reopening.
Splitsville at 5701 Sunset Drive in Miami has not yet announced when it will be reopening to the public.
New Casino South Florida Resorts
Dave and Buster’s locations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties have not yet announced a reopening date.
Dezerland Park in Miami opened its drive-In theater and has been showing movies throughout May . It has not yet announced the reopening date of its arcade center.
Xtreme Action Park at 5300 Powerline Road in Fort Lauderdale reopened on June 3. On its first open day more than 200 guests arrived, the arcade center said. For more information and its safety guidelines visit its website.
GameTime in Miami, 5701 Sunset Dr., opened its restaurant and arcade games on June 4. The arcade decorated some of its props to promote its safety rules and guidelines, which can be found on its website.
Off the Wall arcades in Davie, 9130 W State Rd. 84, and Coconut Creek, 4939 Coconut Creek Parkway, reopened on June 5. Visit its website for more information and new safety guidelines.
